Violinist Sarah Vendsel Dudas is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree at the University of Southern California as a student of Kathleen Winkler. Previously, Mrs. Dudas spent three years as a visiting instructor at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia and faculty member at the University of Tennessee’s Cadek Conservatory of Music while performing with the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera. As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras in her native state of Texas, including the Meadows Symphony Orchestra at Southern Methodist University, the Las Colinas Symphony, Garland Symphony Orchestra, New Symphony of Arlington, and Fort Worth Civic Orchestra. Her talents have led to opportunities to participate in masterclasses with artists such as the Borromeo and Julliard Quartets, Pamela Frank, Ida Kavafian, Donald Weilerstein and Jaime Laredo. In 2003, Mrs. Dudas was named winner of the Music Teachers National Association Collegiate String Competition in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a Master’s Degree from New England Conservatory where she was a student of James Buswell and a Bachelor’s Degree from Southern Methodist University where she studied with Jan Sloman.
